France and Slovenia, in partnership with Montenegro, have established a regional-scale training centre in Podgorica, with a European and strategic ambition.
The WB3C is operating at the premises of the Science and Technology Park in Podgorica and its activities benefit the relevant administrations of the Western Balkans countries in support of their European perspective and EU approximation.
Support to the Western Balkans countries through increased cooperation and training in the field of cybersecurity and cybercrime will address pertinent regional shortcomings and contribute to the exchange of information and good practices between the regional stakeholders.
WB3C’s goals include disseminating cyber culture, strengthening operational capacities, and promoting regional and international cooperation. In doing so, WB3C closely cooperates with national coordinators in the Western Balkans and promotes involvement of local experts thus ensuring that our activities are aligned with local needs and sustainable in the long term.
Developing education programmes in the fight against cybercrime and in cyber hygiene. Creating dedicated training instruments to reach the practitioners (ToT). Promoting the implementation of cybersecurity academic curricula (Erasmus+).
Targeting working practitioners to overcome the skills shortage in public services. Reinforcing operational response: integrating cyber referents. Improving operational expertise: investigations, prosecutions, attack prevention, crisis management.
Involving decision-makers and agency directors specialized in cybersecurity. Sharing of best practices and more requests for operational cooperation at the regional level.
